Ride & Seek Offers New Samurai Roads Cycling Tour

Shikoku Island Cycling Tour

Ride & Seek announces a NEW 12-day cycling tour exploring the ancient Samurai roads of Shikoku, the smallest and least populous of Japan’s major islands. Shikoku is famous for its 1,200 km pilgrimage of the 88-temples associated with the Buddhist monk, Kuka.

Beautiful and exhilarating descents through green valleys, terraced rice paddies, and ancient villages highlight the 750 km trip, which culminates with spectacular suspension bridges that span the inland sea. Guests also ride through the magnificent Iya Gorge and tackle Mt. Ishizuchi, Western Japan’s highest peak at 6,503 ft.

Accommodations are a mixture of Western-style hotels and traditional Japanese Inns. Anything they may lack in modern comforts is more than made up for by their charm and authenticity. Some of them have natural hot spring baths, which make for a  perfect way to end the day.

The tour starts at  $5,600 USD. Dates are slated for Oct 16 -27 & Oct 27 – Nov 7, 2018.
