Sierra Escape is Mudgee’s first and only luxury eco glamping experience, which has unveiled the addition of two much-anticipated luxury tents in June, to the picturesque property in the Central West wine region.
Mudgee is a town northwest of Sydney in New South Wales known for its colonial buildings and surrounding countryside with dozens of wineries.
The Australian-made eco-tents are 100% solar powered, and offer a one-of-a-kind experience that has been crafted to give people a unique opportunity to escape to nature without forgoing the luxuries of everyday living including a large bed, bathroom and shower, kitchen, dining table, phone chargers and fireplace.
Sierra Escape’s owners, Cam and Tasch D’Arcy wanted to create something unique to show off Mudgee that was close to nature and have a minimal footprint in respect of the land.
Positioned on a pristine 280-acre block with undulating hills that boast wildlife, creeks and spectacular views, each of the tents at Sierra Escape offers the perfect off-the-grid experience. Each have indoor and outdoor fireplaces and are made from high-quality material that has been used for the exterior insulates for warmth in winter, while the floor-to-ceiling windows makes the most of the cooling summer breeze.
The two new tents; Dulili a group or family tent that sleeps up to seven and Uralla, a more superior experience, are positioned discretely away from the other, perched high on the rolling hills of Sierra with large beds, inviting panoramic views and large windows, perfect for watching sunrises, sunsets and starry nights.
The high-class amenities at Sierra Escape make it easy to experience the outdoors, while still offering all the fun of camping out: think building a campfire, cooking and roasting marshmallows.
Plans are currently underway to create a pool out of a shipping container with an undercover deck, which guests can use for activities such as yoga.
